Reading Is for Everyone

Thirty years ago, the doors to the Broadalbin Library, incorporated as the Wilkinson Memorial Book Station, opened for the first time. It was then, as it is today, administered, managed and operated exclusively by volunteers and funded through the generosity of patrons, supporters and citizens. The village and town both provide annual allocations and the American Legion provides maintenance assistance.

In that way, the library can continue to offer a myriad of services to its clientele, residents and summer visitors alike. If you have never stopped in - or if you haven't in a number of years - please do. You'll be pleasantly surprised. We may be a volunteer organization and smaller than most city libraries but the services rendered are the same. Some are even unique to Broadalbin.

We are accepting donations of books, and audio books on CD from 2005 and up would be appreciated.

Jigsaw Puzzle Exchange*

*This program, introduced two years ago, enables anyone to bring in a jigsaw puzzle and take another out. It's yours to keep or to return and get another. Is there any better way to spend a rainy afternoon at camp or a snowy Saturday at home? You can pick up a couple of audio tapes at the same time or a book to read aloud to each other.
